WARP 5 Communities
281.COM offers individual connections for homes and Businesses in the Highland Lakes area. If you live in a community, or on a ranch with several homes, you might want to consider pooling your resources and saving time and money with our Warp 5 Community product. It allows several homes and many computers to share one Internet connection, and 281.COM manages the network of homes and computers for your community like each were a direct 281.COM customer! Warp 5 Community requires one bill for all clients, so either one person or one entity such as a Home Owner Association must manage the monthly service fee and initial setup fee.
Our Warp 5 product is superior because we limit the customer to tower ratio to 5:1, so your Internet service and that of your clients and outlying buildings is superior to our competitors Internet. You also do not pay for any on-site service to repair Internet equipment with Warp 5 as 281.COM retains ownership and responsibility for this equipment. Another huge advantage that drives down the total cost of Internet.
You may also add additional Hot spots, buildings, or homes into your Warp 5 Community in the future!
Warp 5 Communities - $109.95/month
a) Setup fee is $1200.00--includes all installation up to 20 ft. pole to connect to tower. Includes everything you need for several computers with Ethernet cables in main building (Administration) to wireless router, and an outdoor WIFI access point with 10+ dB omni antenna (or directional) to connect the other buildings and nearby (1000+ ft.) laptops. (Terrain, Trees, Buildings, and other obstructions can cause variations in Internet coverage from Access Points)
b) Uses an 802.11a 5 GHz antenna to connect to tower for your PRIMARY connection. A second 2.4 GHz antenna is also installed as a backup. It is only used if there is a problem with your primary connection while 281.COM repairs equipment, at your site or the tower.
c) Equipment stays property of 281.COM, so there are no on-site labor charges to repair Internet equipment. Warp 5 customers receive priority scheduling and support.
d) Superior VPN, VOIP (Internet phone), Video Streaming, and Gaming performance – LOW LATENCY
e) Each additional building has a $225.00 setup fee to install an outdoor antenna and cable ran inside to power and place to connect one computer if too far to connect to WIFI direct with laptop. Additional computers will require the purchase of a switch or wireless router for that building. (Nearby buildings may not need an outdoor antenna. A connection from a laptop or wireless equipped desktop computer may be possible depending on distance and obstructions.)
f) Each additional building will increase the monthly rate by $25.00/month. (Note: This is not true if the users in that building do not need an outdoor antenna hookup and just connect direct to the WIFI access point direct with their laptop or wireless enabled desktop computer.)
g) $400.00 to install additional outdoor WIFI 360 degree AP or $200.00 for 120 degree directional AP, $25/month additional per new WIFI - ($250.00 setup (includes switch) for additional building if wireless link required to connect to main WIFI.)
